Brazilian Bikini Wax - What You Should Know About Brazilian Bikini Waxing

Brazil brought us the flip flops, dark chocolate candies, Pele, Samba and in 1987, they gave us the Brazilian Wax. Seven sisters from Brazil introduced this method of hair removal in the 80's. It started in New York, followed by a speedy rise in popularity throughout the western world. Up to this day, Brazilian wax has remained a very popular way to deal with unwanted hair, especially during the summer months when wearing a bikini becomes a wardrobe staple.

To have a Brazilian wax is not for the faint-hearted. As far as hair removal goes, it is often seen as the most extreme and a tad on the painful side but the pain didn't put a stop to many women who are willing to give it a try. If you are keen on freeing yourself of hair not only around the bikini line, but from the front, back and all that grow in between, the Brazilian wax is your best bet. If being completely bald is not your thing, you retain the right to keep what is known to be as the landing strip.

It is really impossible to perform such a task by yourself, unless you happen to be one of the seven sisters, so seek out a professional who will perform this in the least painful way possible and give you the best results.
A professional will allow you to go through this ritual in a private room, where you will lie down on a clean and comfortable bed. Before you can get a wax, there is a general rule that the hairs are at least 1/4 of an inch for fine hair and 1/2 inch for coarser hair. If the hairs are any shorter, there would be a problem with the wax getting a proper hold, and you may be sent home until they reach in the minimum required length.

Before applying the wax, a coating of talcum powder is used to prevent any hot wax from sticking to the skin - without this preparation, your skin could be very sore. After that comes the wooden stick, smothered in hot wax and applied to the areas in need. The person who applies the wax will then take several strips of cloth and press them down so that the wax, hair and cloth can stick together. Once the wax has cooled down, in several quick movements, the cloth will be ripped away to leave you hair free. The cloth will be pulled in the opposite direction of the hair's growth, allowing removal of the hair right down to the root.
It is really a quick process so you will not be submitted to too much pain. Any stray hairs will be removed using tweezers, and if you opted for what they called as the landing strip, this will be trimmed down to perfection. Last but not the least, the welcoming sensation of a cooling gel or lotion on your newly waxed skin, usually with aloe extracts will follow.

However, it is advisable to take care the newly waxed area by gently exfoliating the skin to reduce the risk of ingrown hairs and continue to use a cooling gel for at least few days. Hairs tend to begin growing back after two weeks, but the more often you go, the more accustomed you will be to the pain and the less it will feel hurt.

Enhance Your Self Image With Laser Hair Removal

One of the best ways to feel good about yourself is to like what you see when you look in the mirror. If you see hair in places where you feel that you should not have any, you may feel less than presentable. Hair growth in unwanted places can also be very embarrassing. Laser hair removal is a great way to boost your confidence and can be done either in a doctor's office, day spa or specialized clinic.

Laser hair removal uses laser light to remove unwanted hair. The laser is an intense, beam of light that will pulsate to remove unwanted hair. During removal a light passes through the skin and targets the dark pigment in hair called melanin.
The beam hits the hair where growth originates, called the follicle, destroying it almost instantly, but with little effect on the skin and the tissue surrounding it.

Laser hair removal is a way to permanently remove any unsightly hair that may be plaguing your bikini line, your under arm, your legs, and even your lip and chin area. It gets tedious and tiring to have to continuously shave and pluck away undesired hair. Men can get rid of unsightly back and chest hair without having to continue with painful waxing. With just a few laser treatments they can permanently have the problem taken care of.
Why does it take several treatments in order for laser hair removal to work? Melanin is produced only during the growth phase and the laser must target the hair during the right time of the cycle. Not all hair is in a growth phase at the same time. For this reason treatments need to be repeated and spaced at intervals over the course of the hair growth cycle. This assures that the follicles are disabled.

Laser hair removal is not painful, and it is conducted in half of the time that electrolysis is. Most sessions last anywhere from fifteen minutes to one hour, depending on the area that is being treated for hair removal. If cost is a concern to you, do not worry, because there are great competitive prices available as well as convenient locations in every area of the country.

Reputable clinics that specialize in laser hair removal have professional personnel on staff, so in most cases you'll be dealing directly with a nurse or a doctor. Your comfort and satisfaction are the number one priority, with pleasant surroundings and friendly staff to tend to your needs. So boost your self image and get rid of all that unwanted hair that's making you so unhappy.

The Brazilian - To Wax, Shave Or Sugar?

What's so special about waxing anyway? Surely there are other great hair removal methods that can deliver a top Brazilian wax, right? Well, yes there are, but you know it's hard to answer because the other options are literally everywhere. Use this; rub on that, pluck with this...every street billboard wants you to try something new.

No, the hard part is thinking of other hair removal options that stack up to waxing. After all it has to deliver a great result, last up to 4 weeks between visits, be relatively cheap and not too painful to undertake. You'll want a convenient option that is widely available too.

Consider Shaving

Now shaving is one way, it's really cheap and there's usually a razor handy when you're in the shower and you get great instant results, right?

Well...most of the time.

But there are some nasty side-effects too, like a five o'clock shadow and stubble within a day or two and this can put a real dampener on your special hairstyle. Add to this razor burn and nasty nicks and cuts, which can be pretty painful as well and suddenly shaving looks less like the perfect solution.

How about Sugaring then?

Sure the principals of sugaring are basically the same as waxing, only it's not wax you're using but a sugar/lemon/honey type mixture. Once this is then heated and allowed to cool, it's applied and removed using cloth strips.

The biggest benefit is probably that's its water soluble, which is handy in case you spill it on something special and want to remove it easily. However like waxing, the hair removal technique still needs to be good to get acceptable results and reduce the chances of injury. The other problem is that the wax can stick to the skin, which can really hurt in delicate areas. So it's not at all ideal for Brazilian's.

Are Creams any good?

Depilatory creams are another popular range of products that work by essentially dissolving the hair in strong chemicals, like calcium thioglycolate and calcium hydroxide. And with continued use over time, re-growth is finer and softer.

But problems can occur if your skin is sensitive to the chemicals and some women may experience a burning sensation. Once more, creams can be useful on different parts of the body, but aren't ideally suited to the intimate areas of the Brazilian.
So what else does that leave?

Look there's plenty more options for all budgets, from bleaching and threading to electrolysis and laser treatments. However each has its own downfalls, electrolysis can be very painful and laser treatments are expensive. When you think about it, why do so many beauticians still use a hot Hard Wax when trying to shape a sexy Brazilian for you?

Simply, because it works, it delivers.

For a great hair removal formula, look no further than the humble Hard Wax for your Brazilian. It performs intimate hair removal very well and delivers fantastic results every time.
